Project files have a _prj at the end of the filename ahead of the .zip extension. All project files contain a document that describes the project and assembly notes. If the project is microcontroller based, the zip file will contain both the source and hex code. The project document will be in either a Word or PDF format.

Files that do not have the _prj in their name can fall into any category. The filename will usually give a hint as to the purpose of the file.
